It may be recalled that Danny Boyle, director of 8-Oscar winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” has publicly stated, during the premiere of his film in Mumbai, that he would very much like to work with “Lagaan” Aamir Khan.
Last week, Boyle was in Mumbai to buy new homes to Ismail and Rubina, the child artistes of his film who lost their dwellings in the slum clearance operation.
Boyle took time off from his trip to Mumbai and went out to meet Aamir Khan at the latter’s residence, which immediately sparked off rumours that Boyle and Aamir are on the verge of clinching a an international film deal, where Aamir would be directed by Boyle.
However, both Aamir Khan and Danny Boyle are tight-lipped about their meeting and say it was just a courtesy meet.
