It appears that the Producers Council has been coming up with rather revolutionary decisions and many say that this could involve a lot of consequences. Mainly, it is the stand that the council has been taking towards the TV channels when it comes to promoting the films and giving ads.

Sometime back, three big channels - MAA TV, ETV, Gemini TV were banned by the council and they were refrained from being given any film related ads. The council also went further by issuing no invites to these three channels for press meets and other film related events. The cause for this was said to be an expensive tariff quoted by these channels.

Now, even the ZEE Telugu has been joined into this league. Apparently, the channel is said to have mentioned that they were unable to come up with film teasers or ads during the primetime since the fees being given was not working out.

However, sources from the council say that the producers want to give a message that the TV depends on film industry but not vice versa.

Just when this tussle between the Producers Council and the TV channels has been getting hot, a move by film maker Allu Aravind seems to have rubbed salt on the wrong side. Apparently, Allu went ahead and gave the ‘Magadheera’ audio release event live to the MAA TV recently.

As per the industry sources, this has not gone well with the Producers Council and they have now said to have resolved that no support would be given to Allu Aravind in the event of any issue regarding this movie. It is also said that an anti-Allu Aravind group is coming together to come up with stern action due to this.

It is also heard that a motif was issued by the council demanding an explanation but no reply has been received from Aravind.

“Now, this has to be understood that if Allu Aravind faces any problem as producer either with exhibitors or any others, Producers’ Council will not stand for him”, says a birdie.

As it is, Allu has picked up friction in the political front in the PRP camp and now he seems to be picking up few more issues in his own film industry too.

It appears that recession and piracy have been hitting the audio companies and mergers, acquisitions have become the name of the game. Now, there is news that the popular audio company Supreme has been taken by the audio giant Aditya for an amount of Rs 10 crores.

Reports also reveal that Maruthi audio company is currently not functioning well, Vel audio owned by Keeravani is in a weak position and the most talked about Lahari audio also is struggling a bit. The non local companies like Big music, Times music are also sailing in the same boat.

As per reliable sources, now, only two audio companies are able to stand strong. While one happens to be Aditya themselves, the other happens to be Madhura audio and while Aditya has been catering to the big banners only, Madhura has been the haven for many other movie makers giving them hope and relief.

Ever since the buxom beauty Priyamani came up with her bikini act in the movie ‘Drona’ the whole equations have changed towards her and even her career graph has been soaring high. However, it now looks like the makers are not satisfied with what they have seen on the screen and they want more.

It is known news that Priyamani is currently busy with the making of her new movie ‘Pravarakhyudu’ alongside Prime Star Jagapathi Babu. But the buzz is that the distributors are said to be insisting with the makers that there must be at least one scene of the beauty in a two piece bikini for them to take the film.

They have also reportedly said that the genre of the movie happens to be family but if the makers can look at getting Mani into bikini in a dream sequence or something, then they will go ahead and take the movie without a second thought and predict that it will work really well at the box office. Will Priyamani and Madan oblige to give this feast??

Sneha Ullal is the hottest sensation in Telugu film industry and she says that she is happy for her career here and also for the film Current where she got recognition for her beauty and glamour. Saying about her exposing on screen she said, “I never expose my body in a bikini. I hardly exposed my mid riff so far and never wear any bikini. And at the same time I do respect heroines those are sporting in bikini and that needs lot of guts to do so”.

And when she asked about her alleged dating with Allu Arjun, she said, “Really! I never know that I was doing that. He is only my friend”, she answered.

And throwing light on her marriage, she said, “I marry a person who is a stern vegetarian. I promote vegetarianism and hence my man needs to be a pure vegetarian. And he must be presentable and need not be a hot and handsome guy. He should be liked by my family members. My father is a South Indian and my mother is North Indian. They had love marriage. And one of my sisters also married to a South Indian. Hence I believe in love and marrying the person who perfectly suits my wave length”.

When the journalist asked about marrying a gay man she stunningly replied, “You should know that a gay man will be a good friend for a woman as he can understand the feelings of her in better way. Many of my friends happened to marry gays. And they are living happily. I too don’t mind if my man swings both the ways”.

This is the statement given by an actress. She is Saloni who is known with her films Oka Oorilo, Chukkallo Chandrudu and Dhana 51. Saloni is also known for her beautiful grace, sharp looks and glowing body. She answered a few questions posed by journalists.

When she was asked if she had any god father, she simply said, “I don’t think any actress certainly needs a god father. I have no go father at all. I worked on my own, I struggled and came to this position. And in fact my parents were a bit unhappy with my career in films but I made them accept my wish with my non-controversial approach”.

When she was asked if she has any boy friend to date, she replied, “I have no boy friend at all. I never dated any man. I’m single and happy with it”.

Well, why should she stress saying ‘I’m not dating any ‘man’? Should we understand she is dating some lady? No problem, after all Delhi High Court said that’s not a crime.

Sonam Kapoor is the hottest sensation in Bollywood who is just 24 year old. She says that she has no qualms about wearing bikini even in real life.

“I don’t mind wearing bikini even in real life. I have worn salwaar kameez, jeans, sarees and skirts and many more. And bikini is just a kind of attire that’s worn during swimming or while walking on beach. I don’t mind wearing that”, said Sonam Kapoor when she was asked to say about her bikini act in a film ‘I Hate Love Stories’ with Imran Khan in lead role.

So, this young heroine erases all reservations on bikinis and endorses it is a form of dress that any girl or lady can wear!

There was a time when the big names of the Telugu circuit were known for their starry airs and their celebrity presence. However, recession has given a reality stroke to all of them and the picture has changed completely now, as per film nagar sources.

It is heard that the producers and directors are now taking the shots and all those big heroes whose pay checks are in crores are now being told to prove their money’s worth. It is heard that S S Rajamouli had insisted that Ramcharan Teja take up horse riding perfectly since the audience had to see something more different from him.

The same path is now said to be taken for many heroes and it is buzzed that they have to come out of their shell of romancing the heroines and beating the baddies to do stuff like their own stunts or something that appeals to the audience and also keeps up their larger than life image. Now we are talking about some true heroism and heroic acts folks…

You would assume that Priyanka Kothari, that sexy chick from Ram Gopal Varma’s films, would not be easily shaken up when it comes to shooting for those oomphy numbers. The story goes that recently when she was shooting for RGV’s Agyaat at Madh Island, the actress got thoroughly flustered. Why’s that you ask? Well, the song titled ‘Kiss Mix’ had lyrics that went ‘Kiss me all day and kiss me all night’, so whenever the music would be played out loud, the public would scream the song along with it. Naturally, Priyanka got intimidated and finally, Ramu had to wrap up the shoot there and shift to a studio to finish the song. Well, seems RGV’s songs can rattle anyone, remember Rann’s controversial song?

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor had no problems wearing a bikini for her just-released "Kambakkht Ishq", informs debutant director Sabbir Khan.

"There was no problem from Kareena's side in wearing a bikini. If she's said that she wouldn't don a bikini, then she must have felt that the scene she has performed in Kambakkht Ishq is special before going ahead and doing it," Khan told IANS.

"She didn't have any apprehensions...and I think she's gone ahead and done it beautifully...If there had been any problems, she wouldn't have worn it," he added.

Kareena has earlier said that she has decided to stay away from bikini for her mother Babita's sake. Babita didn't like her two-piece stint in last year's dud Tashan.

Trendsetting movies have been quite few in the Telugu film history and one flick that stands apart is ‘Shiva’ starring Nagarjuna and directed by the genius Ramgopal Varma. Now, a strong buzz is making rounds in the Tollywood circles and if it happens, then it will be interesting.

It is said that as a third venture, planning is going on by actor-director JD Chakavarthy to come up with a remake of ‘Shiva’. He is said to be showing interest in the project and talks are said to be going on with Nagarjuna and RGV with JD taking the lead.

Already JD remade the Bollywood hit ‘Ab Tak Chappan’ in Telugu as Siddham with Jagapathi Babu and proved his directorial capability. On the flip side, many are saying that it is time JD starts looking at something original than just remakes. For now, it looks like ‘Shiva’ might come back with his cycle chain.

Ever since the legendary Michael Jackson has passed away, many disturbing facts have been coming to light and one among them happens to be the loans that Michael had to pay went up to the tune of Rs 500 crores approximately. However, the icon that he is, money is said to be pouring in still.

News has been arriving that his best albums such as ‘Thriller’ ‘Bad’ ‘Dangerous’ ‘History’ have again got back their craze and this time, it is much bigger. It is also said that Michael’s staff are looking at his bathrobes, dresses and other accessories and all are going for auction.

The stakes are said to be high on the personal possessions of Michael and recently, Michael drew a sketch with a normal pencil and on a normal paper. That went for a whopping Rs 10 lakhs so one can imagine the money we are talking about when it comes to the auction of his belongings.

Bangaru Kodipetta.. a hit song is from Chiru's Gharana Mogadu. The song was written by Bhuvana Chandra. MM Keeravani tuned the song. Manisharma was the key board player of MM Keeravani during those days. K Raghavendar Rao was the director and K Devi Varaprasad was the producer.

The writer Bhuvana Chandra says ' the song Pallavi was given by MM Keeravani-the pallvi goes like this ' Smuggled goods bandi vachchenandi...' . Then I continued that song from there and recorded. But after some time, I felt it would be better if I make it as 'Bangaru Kodipetta... and this was liked by KRR and Chiru, then we re-recorded the song and it was big hit after the film release.

Bhuvana Chandra says ' Though I didn't get the chance to work for Charan's film so far, I am happy and Father and son are dancing for my lyrics'.

In Tollywood, the film’s title is the prime bait to lure the audience to theatres. This is perhaps the reason why about 60 titles get registered with the AP Film Chamber of Commerce every month.

Interestingly, at least 10 of them are rejected as they are offensive or are similar to film titles which have been a success.
Recently, the film chamber rejected the director Srinivas Reddy’s title Dil Raju-Puli Raju as Dil Raju is the name of popular producer in the industry and sources say he wanted to settle his personal scores with the latter. Shockingly the caption for this title was veediki undhi-vaadiki ledhu which was considered offensive. “It comes as a surprise to me,” says a puzzled Dil Raju. “I am yet to find out why someone did it.”

But it is nothing new for the film chamber, which is flooded with titles based on the names of prominent actors and producers. They say it is imperative for the producers to get the no objection letter from the family members of the person after whose name the film is being titled.

“All the movie titles in Tollywood should get our approval,” says Vijandar Reddy, secretary of the film chamber. “We receive around 60 applications per month. Filmmakers apply for titles named after NTR, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna et al. They have to get the no objection letters before they can use it.” Some even file applications with names such as Nenu Taraka Ramdini for NTR and ask the chamber to accept the title.

There are also several filmmakers who choose to ape titles of hit movies. In the last six months, the chamber rejected 25 titles as they were similar to the movies which are already registered or have been hits.
“The film Akashamantha starring Trisha and Prakash Raj was a box office hit and immediately there were people who applied for the title Aakashame Hadhu,” says Vijandar Reddy. “We reject such applications since they want to use similar posters and release the film.” However, filmmakers are not amused by the chamber’s rejection of titles. They claim that they are not trying to ape successful films but want to title their movies in accordance with the story.

“I applied for Naa Prema. But it was rejected because there is already a movie titled Prema,” says director Aditya. “They also rejected my movie title Hijack claiming it is anti-national. We should have the freedom to choose our movie titles.”

The audio release of ‘Magadheera’ seems to be going through some rough weather. As it is, the reports from the music stores have not been that encouraging as expected for this movie. Some say that only continuous listening would make the audio successful but not an instant winner in first listening. And here is another one to add to it. This is from megastar Chiranjeevi to the music composer M M Keeravani.

Chiru was addressing the crowd during the audio release function when he recalled the time of the film ‘Gharana Mogudu’ and its famous song ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta…’. In his regular ‘diplomatic’ style, Chiru stated how he was not very satisfied with the song that was originally churned out by Keeravani before 'Bangaru Kodi petta'.

He said, "Initially Keeravani came up with a song and that was not appealed much for many. Later he reworked and came up with 'bangaru kodi petta' that was instantly liked by all. Mani Sharma was the keyboard player for that song at that time".

What is that he wanted to convey?

Those who were present in that event felt that Chiru was not too happy with Keeravani then and even now. And he apparently implied that original ‘Bangaru Kodi petta’ was a hit because of Mani Sharma but not Keeravani!!

The Imran-Shruti Haasan starrer Luck is being readied for a July release while the music has already hit the stores across the country. The action-thriller serves as the launch pad for Kamal’s daughter who is already popular in the music scene with songs to her credit and after bagging the offer to compose music for Kamal’s Tamil film Unnaipol Oruvan. Much to her delight, noted Bollywood analysts predict Shruti’s debut to be better than the other two south Indian beauties Asin and Trisha - who recently signed a Priyadarshan film opposite Akshay Kumar. With an impressive star cast and a promising plot (supposed to be inspired from the French/Georgian movie, 13 Tzameti) Shruti’s luck could just be around the corner if the movie hits the bull’s eye.

Happy Days and Yuvatha fame Nikhil as the hero and Kottha Bangaru Lokam, Ride heroine Swetha Basu Prasad as heroine, a flick is in the making titled "Kalavar King". Its producer D.S.Rao informed that the flick would contain a different type of story and will be shot in and around Rajahmundry. The title of the movie received good response as it is very apt for the story-line. The flick is being presented by Dhanalaxmi Entertainments on Sri Saikrishna Prductions banner.

The petite beauty Amrita Rao stole many hearts when she made her debut with the film ‘Athidhi’. Later, she got back to her base Bollywood but then she has stuck to some girl next door roles and got good accolades for that. However, she has now changed her gears.

Amrita will be seen in some really sizzling stills in her forthcoming venture ‘Shortkut’ and given her slender figure, she looked totally oomphlicious. The credit for this as per sources goes to producer Anil Kapoor who is said to have advised to shed her clean image and get a bit wild.

Ever since Amrita has done that, the unit members are said to be calling her Amrita Baby now instead of Amrita Rao. Given her new image that is ready to set the screen on fire, it remains to be seen whether Amrita will send a new message to her admirers and the film folks as well.

The week so far has been quite discouraging yet again and though the beginning takes off on a bright note, the energy loses the heat in no time. Incidentally, the box office graphs have not been that positive this time also despite few releases that promised some excitement.

‘Evaraina Eppudaina’ came in with huge expectations and though the openings were good, things changed the next day. Right now, it is crawling heavily and this is followed by other losers like ‘Current’, ‘Nachchavu Alludu’ ‘Sweetheart’ etc.

‘Kick’ has been doing his job by managing few repeat audiences, ‘Junction’ did not work out, ‘Boni’ vanished completely. ‘Prayanam’ has been scampering along and sources say that it has reached a moderate success mark. Let us see what will happen this week now.

Though the audio release function of the film ‘Magadheera’ was filled to the dot by many known celebrities, it looks like few more have been quite conspicuous with their absence. Another name to be taken here is that of yuvasamrat Nagarjuna.

Apparently, Nag was not present during the audio ceremony and given his intimacy with megastar Chiranjeevi, this was a surprise. He was present for the ‘Current’ platinum disc function which was held at Vijayawada on same time. However, some say that Nag arranged it there so that he can make himself absent for the audio release.

On the other hand, there are those who say that Nag has been focusing on his family affairs and the careers of boys like Chaitanya, Sushanth etc. So as such, there is no personal friction or anything but it is just that Nag is trying to revive the graphs of his family members which is said to be the actual reason.

As a child artist baby Shamili was very popular with the Telugu audience. She debuted with "Anjali" in 1990, and carved niche for herself with superhit movie "Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari". Later she was unheard of. Now she is re-appearing with hero Siddarth in a forthcoming flick "Oye" as heroine. The flick's director as a strategy, took care not to publish photographs of Shamili till now. So everyone got enthusiastic about her looks as a heroine. Recently, her photos figured onthe posters of "Oye". People started commenting in different ways. Some say that she doesn't look so charming to be the heroine and some say, she may not be looking smart in posters, but she would perform well in the flick.
